Mental Health, Trauma & PTSD

Unless one has experienced an evident and significant traumatic event (i.e. an assault, bad car accident, life-threatening event, or war), many people don't realize that they are struggling with trauma or depression.

Instead, people usually notice that they struggle with chronic anxiety - possibly panic attacks or anger and depression for no apparent reason. It is also not uncommon for these issues to be accompanied by chronic pain, fibromyalgia or other chronic illnesses.

We approach trauma from a "mind-body" perspective and work from both a physiological and psychological point of view. Dealing with just one side of the issue on its own does not effectively address the problem. We utilize and teach techniques that help with both the mind and the body responses and lead to an effective healing solution.

Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Panic and anxiety can be crippling and make life extremely difficult - almost debilitating in some cases. Many people do not know how to manage their anxiety, become overwhelmed, and feel no control over their panic or anxiety attacks. It feels like their panic and anxiety are in control of them.

People often resort to medication to control their anxiety or panic attacks, which sometimes have limited effect and additional concerns about possible side effects or drug dependence.

Our program offers a combination of hypnosis, energy psychology, cognitive and new cutting-edge approaches that can often effectively manage anxiety and panic attacks.

Health Issues

Living with or recovering from a serious, chronic, or life-threatening illness can be a significant life challenge that may profoundly affect many areas of one's life. Our clients have received support for cancer, IBS, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases, to name a few areas.

Being diagnosed and treated for a major illness can involve trauma, physical and emotional pain, treatment side effects, fear, anxiety, grief, loss of independence, self-esteem, relationship issues, to name just a few of the possible impacts of living with severe health problems.

Psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, counselling, and incorporating the various complementary supports in this program can be of great help. It can provide a step in your recovery and healing process and help regain your health.

Pain Management

Do you struggle with chronic pain? Whether from an accident, injury, illness or other physical condition (eg. arthritis), chronic pain can affect almost every area of your life and seemingly change who you are.

Chronic pain can be a pervasive and disabling issue to contend with and can affect your vocation, your relationships and your mental health - to name just a few areas.

Many people may have tried everything from medications to injections to physiotherapy without satisfactory relief - or they are concerned about the side effects of various treatments and drug dependence.

There is one often overlooked method of managing chronic pain with no medications and no side effects - hypnosis! Many people do not realize that pain alleviation is one of the most effective and practical applications for hypnosis.
